I got a price of $250 to fill the tires of a mf 1428v. Is that about right?

I got a quote for $115 each for the rear tires of my TC24D not too long ago. They would have been filled with a solution of calcium carbonate and water. I chose to buy a weight box instead because that tractor is used on the lawn as well as for loader work.

Last year I paid $80 per tire for foam filling the rear tires of my Cub Cadet garden tractor.

thanks Bob. the price I got sounded high but sounds like it's in the ballpark.

The TC24 has fairly small rear tires, if your tractor is a bit bigger it would seem to be right in line with my dealer

Filled with what? It does make a difference. Rim Guard, CC, antifreeze?

I had my rear R4's (12.4x16) filled with Rim Guard for $175 total.

To all, be very careful about filling your tires with antifreeze solutions. It is very poisonous and it smells sweet to kids and dogs. If you ever get a leak or break a valve stem, and you have kids or pets, then you have to make sure you keep them away from the area and it must be hosed down COMPLETELY because even a very small amount of antifreeze can kill a large dog.

Obviously the same holds true if you have a radiator leak.

Bob, would they use calcium carbonate, all the tires I've had filled with calcium used calcium chloride and water.

Just curious

Chloride, not carbonate, I was confused when I posted. Carbonate is what is used in some lanterns and is flammable . . . if I remember correctly???

Calcium carbonate is also known as limestone, marble or that darn sharp rock.
