How much "whine" do you have in high gear (Road gear)

I just recently bought this used 5720C with 133 hrs on it ... nice clean tractor and a good deal... been using it around the farm and it appears to be a great little 57hp machine.

Yesterday I took the first road trip, stereo on, a/c going and I thought to myself what the heck is that high pitched whine? I open the back window and it was really loud ... I thought holy cow there must be a bearing going out.

Pulled over and touched everything I could think of and could not find anything even the slightest bit warm ... continued to my destination and worked about 4 hrs and headed home ... only makes the 'whine" in road gear under load ... in other words down hill nope, up hill yep.

Now I know some tractors whine in road gear but this puppy really is good at it. I changed all he fluids when I first bought it and everything appears to be topped off ... Just curious if some of yours whine?

I get a little whine out of my 5240 at road speed but get more out of the 961. Every tractor I've ever driven has some kind of whine when at road speed.

I dont know if yours is a HST. But the JD 110tlb I had would ring your ears when in high gear. Only when under load also. I think this is just the nature of it. As long as its not running hot, drive on. The little bx I have is not as loud, but it wines also.

Maybe tire noise? I run in high most times and I don't hear much noise.

Here is a video I found of a 110TLB. Listen to it. Thats what lead me to believe mine was fine when I had it. It was also more pronounced when running in high gear down the road. Like I said though, dont know if yours or the one in the original posting is a HST....
