I saw the thread elsewhere about the acceptable number of clock hours on a new tractor, but my question relates to the manufacture date/time on lot of new BX24s (which I'm considering).
1) The earliest reference I found to BX24 in this forum dates from December 2005 so I guess the model name is around 20 months old. However the Kubota web site (BX Series page) has *NEW* labels next to the BX1850/2350 and against the BX24. So what do these indicate? A new sub-model of BX24 I should be looking out for ? Or simply that those models are newer than other BX models.
2) At a nearby dealer, the BX2350 hoods are distinctly faded, so I wonder how many months they've been sitting there. The BX24s do not exhibit this - probably they are newer or (doubtful) they may have better paint job.
So if I plump for a "new" BX24 how do I make sure I am getting the latest, newest BX24 (if there is such a thing)? Is there an easily visible plate on the tractor showing data of manufacture.
