Once in 20 years for the B21 50 hr service (included in purchase) and to fix a leaking FEL cylinder at the same time. Otherwise I do all maintenance and filters.

Before the B21, I restored a 1980's Kubota L275 with a FEL and backhoe (seals, gauges, hyd valves and related bits), so got to know the dealer really well and that paid dividends when I upgraded to the B21.

Current tractor (LS) has not been back to dealer in past 6 years. I've only been to dealer to pick up filters. Previous tractor (Mahindra) was only back to dealer once in 10 years for a replacement loader valve under warranty and to buy filters.

30 yrs and five tractors and never once for any service.

In 10 years dealer came out for service twice one for FEL and once for a storm damaged (ins. payed) backhoe. I also went to the dealership twice for redoing the FELs hydraulic cylinders and about 10 times for fluids and filters.

I have two Kubota's a 2003 BX2200 and a 2014 L3800. Neither have been back to the dealer. I buy filters, lube and replacement parts from the dealer, but I haven't needed their help for repairs. So far, the BX has only needed power steering hoses replaced, loader cylinder seals and a key switch all repairs I could do myself. The L3800 hasn't needed any repairs, although the PTO cable needs replaced.

19 years with my Kioti DK 35.
I had 1 of the loader bucket cylinders leaking early on. Took cylinder only to the dealer and he replaced the seals (pinched o ring - warranty)
Tractor has never been back to the dealer.
I order any parts and filters online and have them sent to my door.

Six years with my JD 3038e and it's never been back to the dealer. Never had any real problem with it. Do the oil and filters myself.

To me a good dealer is important. I've bought all of 5 6 tractors from teh same dealer. They take very good care of me. Up to and including getting mY New Holland TN75D replaced when it had persistent transmission/electrionics problem, loaning me machines when I've had a machine down. I don't shop on price, they give me a decent cost and I just go with it knowing I will be taken care of it if I have an issue

I think its a good idea to support the local guys as much as possible. Service is important to me.

I can call mine ahead of time and have the parts ready and waiting for pickup. They have my equipment models on file so finding parts is easier. Ive never had to wait more than a day for Kubota parts and they tend to keep a lot of stuff in stock. They put all the Kubota filters on sale in February so I stock up for my upcoming service intervals then. They dont charge to pick up/drop off the machines if it is required. I buy my super-UDT from them and motor oils from whoever has it on sale at the time.

I have two dealers within half an hours drive so I can always price compare. Usually one of them is willing to deal when buying new equipment.

I hate going to places like wallymart and homedespot. Cheap disposable junk and zero service. Heaven help you if what you need isnt sitting on the shelf when you get there. Good luck finding an associate who doesnt say this isnt my department, let me page someone else for you...Im here just walk up and down the isles looking busy and I dont have a clue what you are looking for or how to find it.

During growing season I go there almost weekly seems like other than that only on occasion. Now if there is a problem or repair its more often but I know where to go if needed and is very important for me to support my local dealer.
That said there are some Dealers close to me that have lost my trust and respect that I chose not to support. For those Brand Machine I use Messicks
