How often do you change anti-freeze on Kubotas?

How often do you change anti freeze on 25 to 70HP Kubotas. I know the book says 2 years but does the advent of extended life anti-freeze change that? Kubota now has extended life A/F too but I have not seen any.

Also, what kind of anti-freeze do you use? Since it's not a wet sleeved engine, I have used either Deere anti freeze or just the 5 year Prestone XL stuff.

How often do you change and what A/F do you use?

Every 3 years, or more if it's in a dusty environment. I use Shell ELC. Love it, I use it in all my vehicles.

I also change the hoses and rad cap every 5 years.

5 years or 5000 hrs. Test it and you can extend it even longer, providing you use etl antifreeze.

I've used Zerex G-05 in the tractor and Jeep for six years now with no ill effects. I changed the stuff in both last year, after five years. Its listed for heavy duty diesel use. I read somewhere that there is a company making an antifreeze that they rate as "lifetime". Can't remember who and I've never followed up on it. I'd be just a tad bit concerned - nothing lasts a lifetime anymore - - at least not the newer stuff. Its called - - "engineered obsolescence".

I just switched mine to Peak Final Charge Global. It is compatible with all types of coolant and does not require a flush and as long as you have at least 70% of it, they say that is as good as 100%.

That is why I switched to it, so I don't have to stock different coolants for all my stuff.

Don't quote me on this, but I think it said it is good for 5000 hours or 8 to 12 when test strips are used.

I also use Zerex G05 in my Kubota’s, mostly for the 5 year service interval. Standard green every 2 years would be a pain.
