How often do you powerwash your equipment

My tractor sat for 8 months in sea air on the lot before I got it. It's had a number of corrosion issues. This di-electric grease interests me.

It comes in squeeze tubes or aersol can. I prefer squeeze tubes myself. Auto parts stores have it and I believe you can get it at menards.

Keeps your contacts clean and shiny and repels moisture. I load each and every connector, snap or Molex and the battery terminals.

With the ever growing percentage of electronics on board, the smallest amount of resistance (from corroded connections) can play havoc and it's hard to pinpoint.

It's cheap too. Couple bucks a tube. Be apprised, it's not the same stuff you put on aluminum wire when doing household wiring.

We don't have Menards here. NAPA would probably do, eh?

I wonder if it would improve RF connections like the satellite dish?

I'll definitely check it out. Gracias.

I had to retire my chain saws, sure miss working in the woods.

I usually pack a lunch and stay in the timber most of a day. Nothing better than sitting on the ground, leaning against a large Oak tree, eating lunch and taking a short nap.

I burn wood in my shop and love going to the timber. I spent the last three days cutting, hauling, splitting and stacking firewood. It's good for the Soul. :)

I use to do the same thing with my sons when they were growing up. We usually cut a good chunk of wood to sit on for "breaks/lunch". When it got dark enough to start seeing sparks off my chains we would stop, build a fire and cook supper finish up with marshmallows then go home; great memories.

I still find my greatest peace in the woods even if it is just sitting there looking around; just something soothing there.

I own the farm I grew up on. Spent my childhood in that timber and now my adulthood. I told my wife the other day that my most favorite spot on Earth is alone in that timber. I think she understood..... :)

I normally wash my backhoe loader once a year B-4 I put it away for the winter. My Skid Steer only if it gets real muddy and again B-4 winter. I do grease all the Zerk fittings after a pressure wash. I normally turn the pressure way down and use the steam to remove grease and oil from the engine. I like working on a clean machine and winter is the time I do all my maintenance. I make sure I do not high pressure spray toward any seals or areas that could take on water. Most of the late model equipment is sealed well and normally there should be no problem especialy if it is commercial grade equipment.
