Spindles are somewhat different from most zerks needing to be greased. Because of the void between top and bottom bearings along the length of the spindle shaft, it is necessary to fill the void, as previously stated, to build enough grease supply to allow the grease to pressurize the 'cavity' and after doing so fill each bearing. Once filled it should take around three pumps of a grease gun, frequently enough to push out old grease each time new grease is added.
