Can 1 person install/remove a quick-attach FEL reasonably?

I think you need to be a little more specific. The JD quick attach loaders essentially take themselves off and put themselves on. If you can operate a joystick and hook up a hydraulic disconnect, you can install and remove the loader.

Yup sometimes you can have trouble with the hydraulic couplers but that's about it. It is a one man job, nothing for another set of hands to do.

I can do mine in 5 minutes, if I was in a race could probably take it off in a minute or 2. This is JD, not sure of the other brands.

I've taken my JD 420 loader on and off a number of times. It's no big deal. I can't comment on the other brands.

After you do it the first time almost everyone's quick attach loaders are easy to remove. The JD loaders on their small tractors are ridiculously easy to take off.

The Kubota can be removed/replaced in less than three minutes; maybe not as quick as a JD, but quick enough for me.

Our BX, GL and M all come off the same way.

Yes, I'd just add that no tools are required for newer Deere and Kubota tractors which is a big plus in my mind when compared to some older equipment.

heres a hint make sure you take your loader off on level ground or itll be a pain to get back on.we have yet to pull the loader off the new tractor, but im sure its quicker than our old loader.

OK, thanks. Looks like its simple to do. I read a lot of brochures on the feature and they claim its like falling off a log, but Ive never seen it done and I wanted to make sure it wasn't just 'hype' :)

I fell off a log once...it is easier then removing a Deere QA Loader since there's a gravity assist with falling off a log.
But, removing and re-installing a JD loader is pretty easy...hardest thing about it is connecting the Quick Disconnect hose...but I got a bad hand from a stroke years ago (not a good grip).

I discovered that gravity wants to roll the bucket back on my JD 460 loader. Consequently, the bucket curl line had pressure in it from just sitting there. This made it hard to connect the line.

Next time I take the loader off, I'm going to try to roll the bucket back to the position that gravity wants to take it to, before disconnecting the hoses. The downside to this method is that the bucket would not drain, if I were to leave it outdoors and it rained. I suppose I could fix that by drilling drain holes. For now, I don't expect I would be taking the loader off for any amount of time, anyway.

I let the rain collect in the bucket when I have it off. The first few loads of rock or dirt will make that surface rust go away real quick.
