That makes sense. I suppose I was thinking that with a brad not having a head (I assume anyway) that it would not have the ability to pull tight the two pieces like you get when doing door and base trim which typically get no glue.

Safe if used correctly.

Many guys hold the trigger constantly down and just bump the safety tip on the wood to do semi-automatic rhythm. It's faster, but in my mind not as safe unless you're a very skilled pro.

I worked the summer of '77 building the floor systems of mobile homes. Some of the guys would step out the rear hangar door with the nail guns, hand pull the safety tip back, and shoot 10 or 16 penny nails at passing trains. Pretty dumb thing to do.
