How stupid can I be?

Yesterday shot a 2 inch finish nail through and out my thumb. Amazingly doesn't hurt much and is healing fine.
(more of a piercing things) LOL
Thats what happens when your holding the work and it hits a knot

Glad it's healing.. i put a sheetmetal screw into my hand once and it swelled up like a n orange in a few hours..

Wow not good on the orange. I just used some hydrogen peroxide on it. I got lucky I guess. Years ago I was holding something tightly and the 1/4 in drill bit drilled throught the material and into my under shoulder skin . It was wrapped right around the skn, Luckily had reverse on the drill lol
I have had a few. But think Ive been lucky over the years.Plenty of time when ya stand back and say wow that was close.

Yeah.. i had to reverse that screw out.. did a good bit of tissue damage.. had to go on AB's for 10 days.. it healed good after the AB's hit it..

I have a friend that worked in a shop and his foreman was a real a**hole. His foreman hit his thumb with a hammer one day and the nail turned purple. One of the guys in the shop told him that he needed to drill a hole in his nail with a drill bit to let the pressure out. The foreman proceeded to walk over to the drill press, install a bit, flip it on and you guessed it, drill all the way through his thumb.

They failed to tell him that he needed to take the bit and heat it up and "hand drill" the hole.

My friend said the guy got what he deserved. Make me hurt just to think about it.
