How to adjust clutch on Farmtac 665 DTC

I have a Farmtrac 665 DTC (shuttle). The clutch does not disengage fully. I have adjusted it and the tractor will not stop. The clutch does not appear to be slipping nor does it have a smell. The tractor seems to pull okay, but will not disengage. Any suggestions.

Typically, there is only so much you can do from the outside on a dry clutch tractor. I'm not familiar enough with a Farmtrac 665 to know if it has any inspection covers that can be removed to allow any access to look or feel around inside the clutch housing for any problems. If you made the pedal and linkage adjustments (correctly) and it still won't release with the pedal fully depressed, you most likely have a split and clutch replacement in your near future. It could be a fiber lined disc with fragments of lining broken loose and doubled up inside.

Thanks for the reply. It is a big ole heavy tractor. It will require special equipment to split. I have a guy that has equipment to do that. I just need to round up someone to take it there and back. I appreciate the info.

whatch how hard u push the clutch peddle down to. i've bent the ajustment rod more than once on our o6 665dtc. using it as a dozer pushing trees down dosent help. check ur injector pump if it seems chattery. had to retorque ares 3 times. pump lost 2 mounting nuts pump tryd to fall off while discing. dont bump the fuel up more than 1/16 turn. i started at 1/8 blown 2 fuel lines. was running a 5209 new idea disbine. now using a 209 newholland. the 5209 used less power.
