Nothing brightens a snowy day like a ray of orange....

After spending many hours online, and additional time working with my sales guy, I finally got the tractor of my dreams. I've spent months trying to decide between a BX2350, BX24 and the B3030. In the end I used the sage advice of this forum and went a size bigger; and I'm glad I did.

In the 24 hours since delivery I've pulled some stumps, moved some dirt around, got it stuck in a mud bog (had to use my pickup to get it out. Such is life with turf tires) and generally had a ball. When I got a little cold from sitting at the backhoe I could pop in the cab to warm up. What a great piece of machinery.

At the risk of being booted out of the forum I must admit to making a grave tactical error; my wife has been driving it (that's her backing up in the third pix). My head hangs in shame.

Congratulations on your new tractor! That is one sweet set up. Looks like you have the attachments to put it to work for you, and have a little fun while getting lots done. Be happy that your wife wanted to drive it instead of refusing to, and making it clear for the next ten years what a waste of money she thought it was. Glad she is supportive!

It's not a demo unit. On the day I got it there was another one going out the door with a Woods BH80-X on it. I dunno if that was a demo since I didn't look at the clock.

Just wondering why you got some of the other Woods implements, instead of the Landpride ones that could be financed at the same rate as the tractor? Was there that big of a price difference between the Woods & Landpride, and did you even take advantage of the financing deal (guess it would be a non-issue if you didn't)?

I haven't priced Woods implements, and the Landpride ones aren't inexpensive, but they do make some good quality stuff. Kind of curious how the Woods compare price-wise.

Going with Woods over Landpride did raise the overall APR but not by a lot. The main reason I went with the Woods was that it was sitting on the dealers lot. This enabled me to get a better a price which offset the APR hit and have everything delivered in one shot (I'm not big on delayed gratification...). The last question, about the price comparison, is that when you compare similar items across the Woods and Landpride lines my impression is that they are priced pretty close to each other. The challenge is working out which model matches which across the different manufacturers.
