( TSC sells their cat 1 quick hitch for under $200. You can buy a blank skid steer type quick-attach plate for under $80 from a Bobcat dealer.)

Spencer - I saw your post on the "Attachments" forum, so I know you didn't steal the idea. Thanks for the idea. I can weld, although I'm a bit out of practice.

( Another option might be a 3pt quick hitch with a skid steer plate welded on it. Don't know how much a skid steer plate costs, but I've seen 3pt quick hitches for under $200.00.)

MossRoad - Thanks for the idea.

cwave - Thanks for the pictures.

This options seems like a good one. I don't have to fabricate the whole thing, but can save some money. The price for the quick hitch at TSC is $180 according to their Blue Book. I'll have to check around for a dealer to get a skid steer type quick-attach plate.

I checked with my John Deere Dealer - he quoted $220 for an Imatch Quick Hitch - I paid around $75 for the Bobcat skid steer blank plate.

JD Quick Hitch ------- 220.
Skid Steer plate ------- 75.
-------------------
Sub Total $295.

+ Welding $$$$$$

Got my plates at a John Deere/Bobcat Dealer

Here are two more attachments I plan to use. First is A King Kutter Pellet Mower I had to special order from TSC - Around $200. - Had the welder modify it to fit the JD Imatch - He cut off the top Square (top link) and lowered it - Lower pins had to be moved out an inch on either side. If you have a Quick Hitch on the front and the back ------- Wow think of possibilities - Every 3 point attachment you have can be mounted on the front or the back (Use some common sense) - I picked up a Carryall (Wallace brand) at TSC for - $17.50

cwave - Thanks! I'll probably get the Quick Hitch at TSC. They usually have a 10% off sale in the spring, so I should be able to get one for $180x.9=$162. I'm still working on tracking down a Bobcat dealer. If I can get a Skid Steer plate for $75, I'll only have a total of $237 into the complete adapter, since I can do the welding myself. It won't be as heavy duty as yours or Spencer's, but should be fine for me.

I definitely had to look at the picture trying to figure out what a "Pellet Mower" was. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

On this attchment I decided to skip the 3 point hitch and go with the Skid Steer plate - 1 less piece between the loader and the attachment. This piece could probably be made to be work with either a skid steer plate or 3 point hitch. (able to hook on to back end 3 point hitch).

I call it Forks on the Cheap - I don't plan to lift anything heavy. I plan to use it to move my 2 liter Cokes - I buy them 100-200 bottles at a time.

Bird - It's a good thing good typing skills aren't a requirement for owning a tractor!

cwave - I have that same pallet mover. I got mine pretty cheap because someone special ordered it and then didn't pick it up, and they needed to get rid of it. I won't tell you what I paid, since it might make you feel bad /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. I'm not crazy about the idea of modifying it that much to make the quick hitch work! But, I guess I'll see how the TSC one lines up. Maybe I'll just bolt a Skid Steer plate right onto it instead.

Since I only have 3 things that I want to use on the FEL, boom pole, pallet mover, and grader blade, I'm toying with the idea of getting 3 Skid Steer plates for a total of $225 instead of making the adapter. If I can figure out a way to mount the Skid Steer plates so they don't interfere with still mounting them on the 3pt, it would be cheaper than building the adapter.

I'm curious as to why you bought the carry all since you already have the pallet mover? You sure got a good price anyway!
