You are right. If I had to deal with logs that size every day, my tractor would definitely be too small and a grapple bucket would be perfect.

However, I did get a new Stihl 310 with a 20" bar and cut the remaining logs into pieces that would fit into my 60" bucket. With a little loading help, I managed to get them piled and started burning last night. Today, they are about gone...and I am glad.

Since I can't justify a new tractor and a grapple, I am going to order a Markham tooth bar tomorrow. I think that will be satisfactory going forward.

P.S. Today, I bush hogged about 7 acres while the logs burned. That's a lot more fun than using the chain saw.
