how to calc original sales price on a used truck?

i'm obviously snakebitten tonight.

I don't have the trucks vin I'm looking at with me.. but for kicks, put in my ford vin from my truck and it couldn't find it either... I wonder if there is a year limit?

Don't know about the year limit but my window sticker comes up, but it is a 2009. If anyone else owns a Ford give it a try and let us know if it works...

My experience with this link is that it only works up to three years prior to the current year. Last year I could look up an '06 model and now it won't pull it up but it will pull up an '08.

nuttin yet.. just shopping prices.. gauging how good of a deal something is.

ie.. if I see something that was originally 35K$ and is now X vs something that was 20K$ that is now X.. then I can make a better decision as to how much value I am getting.( taking into account.. year, milage, condition, etc. )
