I change the oil in my tractor with an oil extractor to get the old oil out. Then I use a little "two finger" wrench to remove the oil filter (at automotive parts stores).
About 3 or 4 years ago, I bought the oil extractor (about $30 online) from DR or others. Did a check on all the engines I routinely change oil on. Worked fine on everything except my VW Cabrio. There's some baffle in the oil pan that doesn't allow the oil extractor to go all the way down. On my 4010 tractor (similar but a little higher clearance than your 2305), there was NO OIL from the drain plug when I removed it to check. The extractor had, in effect, done a better job than opening the drain plug.
Real saver for lawn mowers or generators where there's either no drain plug or it's too low down to put anything under it.
I curse Toyota every time I have to change the oil on my Tacoma. The extractor removes the oil fine, but the oil filter is too high when you're on the ground and too low from the left fender. Screw you Toyota.
