How to check slip clutch?

Before, they had “asbestos” material used in the clutch discs and didn’t have this problem of “bonding” or sticking as bad as you do now…

On a four plate slip-clutch it’s much worse versus a 2 plate slip-clutch… full disassembly and reassembly only takes ~~ 15 minutes and you are guaranteed you’ve addressed the “bonding” problem… versus horsing around, loosening, adjusting, testing, retightening, getting on and off the tractor engaging the pto for testing purposes… and still not being sure of the results… /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
