I wish I was in your area Carl, sw pa but born in Texas, raised in Hot Springs, Ark., now south of Pittsburgh. near WVa.

Haven't looked at Simplicity. I'm doing as much research as possible on as many websites as I can before taking the plunge. Really need to get something for snow......not as young or sturdy as I use to be and my neighbor " god love him " needs the driveway open , medical !

Just don't want part with my green yet. I don't think any descion will be wrong , you can only spend what you can afford and I'd like to get the most bang for my buck.

Don't know much about the others but if you go green I'd step up the X320 because of the tranny- especially if you're going to move snow. I mow 2 1/2 acres and snowblow 300' of gravel driveway, plus the neighbors on occasion and sometimes even the road when it drifts over so we can get out ........ we're on a dead end. Bought mine in 2007 and just have a little over 400 hours on it. It still runs great (knock on wood) and has held up well- cleaned up it looks almost new.

It's comfortable- I have hip and knee replacements. It cuts well- a smooth even cut. It turns sharp-a 16" turning radius. It's been reliable. Other than routine maintenance I had a front tire go soft (fixed under warranty), replaced the battery, a hitch pin broke on some linkage, and seat was replaced under warranty. It's been one heck of a little workhorse.

I have only three real complaints. 1. No gas gauge- inexcusible at this price point. You check fuel level by looking at the tank ......... when it's dusty it's hard to tell. You always seem to run out of gas when you're the farthest from the garage. 2. Dust in the headlights- they're not sealed well and the dust cuts the light output quite a bit. No big deal mowing but I often snowblow late at night or early in the morning. 3. The seat- it's comfortable but the upholstery cracked; they replaced it under warranty but the new seat has done the same thing. When it's all said and done if I was in the market again at this price point, the X320 would still be my first choice.

I know very little about them but a coworker was looking for a replacement for his Wheel horse that the deck rusted out on. We stumbled across Husqvarna's landowner line. What I can say about most of the line is it has one **** of a deck. No stamped steel, all shaped and welded 1/8" steel doubled up in spots. Worth looking at IMO.

I recently had the 1st failure. A tie rod broke. It was great to be able to go on line and find the parts break down for a now 6 year old no longer in production garden tractor. Then to my surprise, call the dealer, expecting to order the part, but find they had it in stock.

On your GT245, do you find that the front wheels wobble slightly as you drive? I just bought a used GT245 with 500 hours on it. It runs very strong, but I notice this wheel wobble and am wondering if it's normal, or if it indicates a developing problem.

And how many hours did yours have on it when the tie rod broke? Was that an easy part to replace?
