How to disengage mow in reverse switch?

I think this needs to be addressed like the passenger side airbag in my truck. You use the key to turn it on or off. What will they think of next, "Don't Mow Without A Helmut!" I mean how much more safey BS do we need?
All I can say is that mine somehow got disconnected by someone when I purchased my unit. I just plain never asked.

The next model up from my mower has an electronic disable mode. So if it can be disabled for the ones that can afford the disable button, then why can't a poor person that has no kids and no pets to endanger get a way to disable his cheaper model?? I can see that since a button is on the higher priced model then there is NO meat to the lawsuits that would be filed!! I will figure it out myself. I was just hoping for some help since I am 62 years old and trying to find a quicker way to mow my lawn than having to disengage and back up 50 times to mow my lawn while constantly wearing out my PTO.

There is usually a switch underneath that is actuated by the reverse pedal. On my 3235 it was a simple task of bending the switch lever so the pedal no longer contacted it. I did have to remove the 260 pound deck before I could find it.
