How to have land classified as Agricultural?

I live in SC and am using much of my land for agricultural purposes and would like to figure out how to have it classified as such with the Tax Office. Can anyone give me some advice on how to begin this process?

If you have over 8 acres (woods or pasture/crop land) I don't think it's a issue here in SC. Go to the county tax office and ask them it's a simple form same form that you do the homestead exemption. When we bought the tax office was very helpful in getting the form done.

Dieselscout80, just curious what county you live in? I'm in Lexington County.
