How to increase the hydraulic power on my CK27

I have a CK30 with an FEL. I bought a precast concrete piece that was advertised to be 700 lbs. When I tried to take it off of the trailer when I got it home. The loader would not lift it off of the trailer bed. I had to use my brother in laws DK45 to take it off.

Yeah you should definitely be able to lift more than 650 pounds unless you're loading it way out on the ends of clamp on forks or something like that. Clamp on forks will limit what you can lift because it pushes the weight farther away from the loader. They are handy for somethings but for Max lifting capacity a properly sized set of quick attach Forks is the way to go for moving pallets versus the clamp on's. They make them in different sizes specifically for compact tractors. Some guys get the 400 to 500 pound set thenwonder why they can't lift much. But I would definitely check your hydraulic pressure it's not that hard. You can build your own gauge or buy one already made up. Ken's bolt on hooks who advertises on here makes a very nice one that comes with the fittings you need to plug into one of your hydraulic couplers. He has a nice video on YouTube showing you how to do it.

If you can't lift a full bucket of dirt to full height, something isn't right. Mine doesn't even strain with anything that fits entirely in the bucket. You say your bucket is 1/2 yard heaped. I'm pretty sure mine is a 1/3 yard level. Does heaping get you to half a yard? Are you using the OEM bucket or something bigger? I'd certain check and set the pressure per manufacturer's recommendations. If you are in landscape, a skid steer would be the way to go anyway.

the thing i like about the tractor is it doesn't tear up a lawn like a skid steer. I also can run my Harly rake and brillian with the tractor. I know the bucket was one that came with the quick attach hook up. I have measured it out to be just barely under half a yard, so my figure is a heaping load is half a yard.

Your CK 30 also should easily be able to lift 700 pounds properly loaded. do you have any reason to suspect why it was not able to do so? Were you using a strap directly to the loader frame? or were you using clamp on forks or something?

Your loader is rated to lift 1,100 pounds to full height. It should easily lift 650 pounds on SSQA forks. The rating is almost identical to my Grandpa's LA524 loader. I am going to test how much it can lift in a few days.

I was using a chain attached to the hooks I have on my bucket.

We messed with the adjustment screw and got a little more lift out of it.
