How to install new hudraulic pump seal???

I have a Long 360 that has a hydraulic pump that mechanically runs off the front of the engine.
It leaks....
Puts hydraulic fluid into the engine oil.
How does the seal come out? and where do I find a new replacement seal?

Thanks in advance for any help.
So far the only solution is to replace a perfectly good pump with a new one.

So, you must not have a parts breakdown, and schematic showing what/where the seal is located? Would be good to find one, maybe from a Long dealer?

Have you tried to pull the pump off? That will reveal where/how the seal is embedded.

Can you tell type of pump??
Gear?
Vane?
Piston?

Can you post a detailed picture of the pump shaft and seal??

Not sure of what pump it is however I would.
1/ Remove pump from engine.
2/ The seal should be in the adaptor flange, that bolts to the engine. Remove the adaptor plate, and remove the seals ( there should be one or two ).
3/ Take them to the tractor dealer who deals with Long 360 tractors, or your local tractor dealer.
4/ Or go to the place that deals with seals and bearings. Take the pump with you and the seals that you removed. They can measure it up and provide you with seals that will do the job. This will probably save you more money than going to the tractor dealer. ( As this is where the local tractor dealer would go himself, if he does not have the origional parts. And then charge you so much more. )
5/ Install seals making sure you do not stuff them up
6/ Install the hydraulic pump to motor and fill hydraulic tank with hydrualic oil.
7/ Start motor, check for leaks, and impliments move up and down.
8/ Go to beer fridge, grab a cold one and pat yourself on the back for a good job done ! :thumbsup:
