How to load trailer with 18 inch high sides with forklift with a long bundle

Empty pallets would seem the easiest and cheapest solution.

Converting to a stake side, or trading for a deck over might be the best, but is it worth the expense?

Cut the sides off.

On many utility type trailers the sides are an important structural member. Cut them off and the trailer will fold like a pup tent.

I致e never had a problem with the loading angle on my current deck over. Not all deckovers are created equal.

I rebuilt my own. 63cm deck height with 2.5 meter ramps make a very smooth angle. I built a tilt bed before, but hated the noise the frame made on the towbar, so i built mine as a low deckover. All it cant do is dump, but whenever i haul dirt behind my car instead of the tractor, its to a place where it has to be put on the spot with a wheelbarrow anyways.
