A couple people here and there have posted that the lever ends for things like the lift or PTO have come off on their Kubotas - and they are looking for ways to get them to stay attached to a painted shaft - here's a GREAT solution that works like a charm:

This is trick I learned from a golfer... Take some of the thin 2 sided carpet tape, put it on the metal shaft. Peel off both sides. Now douse the tape with rubbing alcohol - go ahead and pour it right on it. Then quickly slip the rubber cap down over the tape - the alcohol makes the sticky - not stick at all... then when the alcohol dries - the stick returns - and the rubber will not fall off - that's how they put grips on shiny metal golf clubs.

Now no more issues with the lift lever knob end coming off in your hand if you raise an implement quickly!

I used clear RTV. Squirt some in the knob and slide it on....stuck for good.
