A second way to accomplish this with any carbonated beverage is to take the can and firmly push the side of the can against a round surface (think piece of pipe or rounded counter edge). This causes the CO2 to reabsorb into the liquid by over pressureization. Of course, don't push too hard or you might fracture the can.

That's all well and good but who drinks seltzer water?

I know if you want a warm beverage to be very cold within 3-4 minutes, simply roll the can or bottle on ice, the larger the contact patch is with the side of the can, the quicker it chills. Works very well I may add!
