Sorry for the delay - I've been up to my neck in other projects.
6 pieces 28" uprights,
2 pieces 44 3/4" sides
2 pieces 40" ends.
The uprights go on to each corner and center of the sides and the side and end pieces fit inside of them to make an internal box. I have used rough cut hemlock and twisty 2x4 stock and prefer the rough cut for the larger dimensions. Use about 2-3 screws for each connection (McFeeley's square drive deck screws work great for me) and don't skimp or the thing will fall apart or rack on you easily. I ususally don't stack them more then 2 pallets high with green wood and have used just about any old pallet of standard dimension.
With all the trees I've been cutting for the barn project this year I think I'll have over 20 pallets put aside before winter.
Hope this helps.
