Well, it's pressed in, not threaded. The threads on the outside of the heater are garden hose threads, so I got a brass female garden hose to 1/2" NPT adapter and build a slide hammer with some pipe. I'll thread the fitting onto the heater, and use a slide on the pipe to unplug it. My mechanic neighbor is going to help me in his heated shop, so I'm hoping it'll be a tidy process. I suspect that it'll take longer to put the front end up on jacks and pull the engine cover off![]()
A local dealer installed it when he put on the cab.
Any suggestion would help.
Why not call the dealer and ask if they generally use sealants in this application. If so, what type?
With some sealants, it might be necessary to use heat to aid in the removal process.
Since you provide no clue to what type of tractor you have, are you certain it is the same design?
