the 8n's pto shaft was likely changed out at one time to a new style.
on the orc pin.. DO make sure it is put in flush with the onner piece.. if it sticks up so much that the grease fitting won't go in fully, then the pin will hang and it's just a pto extension.. not an orc...
outside peice must be able to spin in one direction on the innder piece, and lockup in the other direction.. if the pin is proud of the inner piece.. it will likely be locked in both directions..
