Replace the metal lines with hydraulic hose.

well, if there were a prize to win, hosspuller would get it, lol.
After taking my line to a hydraulic repair shop, they could not fix it due to the type of connectors and suggested I do the hydraulic hose until I could find someone who could repair it. Well, I put the hydraulic hose on and it fits and looks good, just gonna go with that. It is on an older tractor so functionality is the main goal here.

As you can see there are many ways to skin a cat. You got it fixed and you are happy. You couldn't ask for more.!!

Wait.. I dont understand... They couldn't fix the metal lines because they didn't have the ends it needed, but they did have the ends for hydraulic? Sounds fishy..

While whole hose replacement is fine, sectioned should have been possible.. Not surprising they wanted to sell you what was on hand I guess.

This is one of the ends of the tubing. Guy at repair shop said they don't have anyway to duplicate that.

sounds like it is a 'hose making shop' and not a hyd shop.

a REAL hyd shop could cut that end off and get out a torch and flux covered brass rod and make it work.

PS.. if they could make up hoses, then they HAD to have some sort of compatible ends. I recall reading that they could make up hoses.. correct?

Correct, and like you thought they primarily make hoses. I think they only bend tubing with flares or connectors already in place.

Hose shop.. Understandable.

I wouldn't expect Napa to make a brazed line, only a hose.. But a real hyd fan shop, I'd expect to be able to make something.

That clears it up.
