How to repair compacted soil

I wanted a looser soil in my garden,, I did this about 3-4 times, depending on the part of the garden,,,

One year I put a couple dozen round bales in the garden,, they took several years to go away,,

One year I was given enough square bales to cover the gaps between ALL of the rows,,
Someone is always looking to get rid of bad hay!!:thumbsup:

Yep. I live in horse country, so getting manure is easy and free for the hauling. It's mixed with sawdust from the stalls, usually. Does a great job.

horse manure is so full of weeds as to be a true labor of love.

Stick with the cows if you can, they have stomachs enough to clean out the rough. ;-)
