How to run and mount 3rd function lines/hoses

Yea I was thinking that. I need to be sure the hoses they sent me to go from the 3rd function valve to the loader are long enough to cross-over underneath. Wont the zip ties chaffe the hose lines? I would think the hoses would move slightly in the zip ties. If not then I will do that and zip tie them to the loader lines.

If you are worried about chaffing at the zip tie points (shouldn't be an issue) then just wrap the hose a few wraps of good electrical tape at the point the zip tie wraps around it.

Kspring,
Please take photos of your project, especially where you make your connections to the existing Kioti valve. I'd be very interested in seeing these.

I'm running a set of lines from my existing ports on the rear for now. I plan to use the hose block like Countrybumpkin suggested. I'm getting mine from Surplus Center. I believe I will only need to remove one of the existing bolts on the current hard line block and install this over and use a longer bolt???

You know, with JD now offering these 3rd functions as factory options, wonder when Kioti will offer this from the factory??? Hmmm....there's an idea??!!
Good luck!!

I'm working on it.

that is what I have in mind to mount my hoses. The fittings for the loader valve and the rear remote block should be here in the morning for my setup and I have the mount built for the solenoid valve to set on.

I second the request, please take pictures as I am in the same boat running hoses off the rear ports.

What size of line are you using?

I second the request, please take pictures as I am in the same boat running hoses off the rear ports.

What size of line are you using?

The lines from the loader vavle to the 3rd fucntion valve and the line from the 3rd function valve to the rear hydro is 1/2"
Line from the 3rd function valve up the loader to the grapple are 3/8"
Here is the kit:

Started installing it today and have already ran into 2 problems.
1) The bracket with the 3rd function valve on it doesn't seem to be correct, seems it doesn't have enough drop to it causing the 1/2 lines to hit the underbody of the tractor.

You can see there is no way I would have had room to get those lines on if I mounted the valve first. You can see the bracket isn't flush with the rear mounting surface of the tractor.

I put the hoses on the valve first given there isn't much room in there to get a wrench on the hoses once you mount the valve.

2) Not sure how to get the current handle off the control lever for the FEL, seems to be glued on or something, no screw to loosen and I tried just unscrewing the handle thinking it may be threaded. No luck. Anyone know how those handles are mounted on there?

What I thought would be the hardest part, getting the old solid line off and new lines on the loader vavle was actually pretty easy. Here is the 90 degree adapter they give you mounted to the loader valve.

Here is the adapter on the rear hydro unit (this is where the power beyond line went).

I haven't got to the part of running the lines up the loader arms, but may mock that up now and see what I need for that. Right now I am leaning towards running them up the left side just because there doesn't seem like a lot of room left on the right side underneath with the current loader valve and 4 lines running up the FEL.

These two pictures explain exactly what I wasn't sure of, thanks!

Good work!

OK , I got the bracket and valve mounted but the hoses are up against that underneath part of the tractor fender, so taking a run to Home Depot. Thought is I will use some foam wrap like you use to insulate pipes around the hoses to stop them from rubbing.

I dont think the handle on the FEL lever comes off, the new handle is actually longer, so I think I will be cutting off the old one.
Also mocked up the hoses on the FEL and I think I have the mount points figured out.

I'll post all the pics once I get it done

Looks like it coming together, I started my install today I'll start a build thread in a day or so on mine.

Nice job Kspring!!! Thank you. Excellent photos. Before you button it all up, can snap a couple of all the lines installed?
