How to set toe in on Jinma 224?

Yeah, for 312 hours - that sucks. But before I consider a recommendation here, it's important to know if all those 2 mile round trips on pavement were done with 4wd engaged

I never use 4WD on the asphalt. Certain of that.

I would flip them. It will give you a wider stance. When you do this make sure you do set the toe in again.

I'll agree with ya. I don't think the drive train would hold up long enough to wear out a set of tires.

Depending on how much front wheel assist you need / use ??........... you might get another 200 or so ?

Excellent. But you'd think that an otherwise properly functioning front end would promote a more even wear pattern. Have you in fact actually verified that moving the 2wd/4wd lever to the 2wd position - actually disengages the front driveshaft? Because that sure looks like 4wd scrubbing to me.

The test is - with the engine off and the transmission in gear - raise the front end so both tires are off the ground. When the lever is in 4wd, the tires shouldn't rotate. In 2wd, they should. If that checks out ok, then I can only attribute it to grossly misaligned wheels. In that case - since a wider stance could conflict with your loader frame - you might just want to remount the left tire on the right rim, and vice versa. Then follow the toe-in instructions in the owner's manual.

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was saying you guy's were incorrect , I wasn't . It just seems to me that a small off road tractor with such a lot of camber would not need that much toe in . And the amount of wear on those tyres makes it seem likely to me . Is there a 2 wheel drive variant of this tractor ? If so is it possible the book is referring to it ?

I use the 10mm spec for both my current 4wd tractors. After nearly 700 combined hours - tires still look like new. But I spend very very little time on pavement.

I have manuals on Jinma, KAMA, and TaiShan. When procedures are specific to 2wd versions, it's so stated. When procedures are specific to 4wd versions, it's so stated. When only one procedure is listed, logic follows that it applies to both 2wd and 4wd models. In all three manuals, there is only one toe-in procedure listed.
