Another option…

You and the wife take a “weekend vacation” to Florida with truck and trailer in tow… /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

You get to see, smell, touch, and kick the tires first hand on that baby…

Now, when you get back home in Maine… don’t be upset if you can’t maintain a “relationship” with your local dealer…

Look at the “whole picture”… add some “years down the road” in the equation… don’t let “solely the price” be the final determining factor… weigh everything and then decide… /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Regular freight shippers will not let you drive it on or off the truck.

This is not true for all freight companies.

I bought my Cub Cadet 7360 used, from a JD dealer in Alabama. It cost me $1100 to have it shipped to New Hampshire (I trailered it to Maine from there). The Alabama dealer loaded it into a freight truck just the way it sat (with loader and fuel). They used AAA Cooper as the freight hauler, but they transferred the tractor to New England Motor Freight in Philadelphia, who then delivered it to NH. The only requirement was that I needed to provide a loading dock for unloading. Fortunately, we were a mile from a commercial apple orchard and they unloded the tractor on their dock.... gratus.

So, I would suggest calling more freight companies.

HI, I'm in Augusta and ran into the same problem. Local dealers too expensive, shiping too high. If you don't have any luck at Wallingford in Auburn, I would check out Emerich Sales in upstate NY near Albany. When I was in the market for Kubota he was the best and closest by far. If you're interested and can't find him, get back to me and I will look him up.

Friends,
Can anyone suggest a trucking company that can get my BX2200 from Florida to Maine? Regular freight shippers will not let you drive it on or off the truck. They require it to be crated or palletized, which apparently is not possible according to the guy I am buying it from. What about an ATV or golf cart shipper. Please help. My lawn is taking over my house, and my wife is beginning to talk about "Plan B," which sounds a bit ominous. Many thanks.
These are the guys running the Ford and Dodge duals pulling insanely long trailers with 3-5 cars on 'em. It can also be loaded onto a flat bed semi trlr, as they chain 'em down, but the hotshot service should be less expensive.
