How to speed up Hydralics

HAve you checked your hydraulic filter. If it is dirty it could be the culprit.

Besides a dirty filter.. it is possible that the GPM of the tractor's pump is just insuficient to run the loader with any speed. You could always add an aux pump to the tractor...

You may want to check the pump pressure to see if the pump is working right also. As mentioned above, the filter is the first place to start checking.

Can you explain this to me? Can you add this too any tractor? Does this boost the gpm so that bigger hydraulic attachments can be used? Thanks...Tony

Most common aux pumps are either pto pumps, or front mount 'stinger' pumps.. though I have seen quite a few pumps added with a belt drive right to the engine.
Yes.. generally the pto and front pumps have a higher GPM than the tractors built in hyds for 3pt lift, and steering.. etc. Probably mostly due to size of the aux pump...

Just a little FYI......Boosting pressure increases the work (force) you have. Increasing flow rate (gpm) will speed up the attachment.
Of course, they're kind of tied together...up the flow rate against a restriction and it will boost the pressure behind that restriction.
