"Buy one of the better overriding clutches from your local independant tractor supply store - the $70 dollar one - Not the cheaper one. "

How do I tell a good one from a bad one. Orshlens carries one kind...sells for $60. Is there a brand name to look for?

Thanks for the tips everyone.

Any clutch with the spring loaded retaining pin is a good one.

If your brakes are like the ones on my Farmall, you "Got to Think Ahead". I have pulled them all apart and adjusted the so they work great, then in 6 months, the are weak again... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I agree.. the spring loaded button ones are 'easier' to use..

SPEECO makes a decent one.. even their pin on one is ok. I use one on my 8n/NAA
