good evening,
hey guys, how do i reduce bytes down to 100000 for posting.... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif...i have fugi 1300 camera that makes great pic's /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif......down loaded PIXfixer and irfanview, however when i reduce or set 800x600, the bytes stay the same.. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif..thanking you guys in advance.. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

In Irfanview, go to images and click on resize and go from there. It's a trial an error thing to get it to resize for posting. G

For posting on the net, I usually open the picture in one of the photo-editing programs (Abobe Photoshop, Microsoft Imaging, etc) and resize to 500 or 550 pixels on the top selection (bottom number will change itself to maintain proper scale unless you mess with it)

That usually gets the picture well below 100K................chim

Photoshop has a "save for web" option that drastically reduces the resolution (pixels per inch). I have saved several pictures at a screen size of 1024X768 using that feature with file size well below the 100k limit. I like that feature because often a little larger picture on the screen will show more detail. Other imaging programs probably have something similar.
