Well I picked up the bracket yesterday around 4 pm. Seems only a few office girls work after 3:30 so the guy who actually did the job wasn't there for me to ask how it was sone. I see dome hammer marks and it was painted. I suspect heat may have been a factor but don't know. It cost me $80 but I'm back at work today with it so I guess it was worth it. I'd say it looks pretty good as new. Thanks again everyone for your suggestions.

the paint, may have been to cover heat..but IMHO.. I like parts to come back painted. looks more pro.. and helps prevent rust.
if they are a big shop.. they probably know exactly how to fix it..especially if it was returend to you looking very straight.
