You're scaring me radman1!
The 3000 series would be a better size overall for the size of my; however, it's low ground clearance (9") coupled with a very narrow stance made me realize that the larger 4000 series is more suitable. (16.5" ground clearance)
I spent months devouring the informed opinions of the uber knowledgeable experts on these forums (you know who you are, thank you sincerely), and built a spreadsheet to help keep my facts straight.
My spreadsheet shows the 3000 series having a max outside length of 58.4 with R1's and 58.9 with R4's.
The 4000 series shows a max outside length of 91.9 with R1's and 76 with R4's. FWIW a B3003 is 53.8 with R4's, and my 1020 is 74" with R1's.
As I found these numbers, I added them to the spread sheet, however I didn't reference where I found them, but the actual values were extremely important to me as the 74" stance of my 1020 causes mucho pucker factor on my slanted property (without a cab) so I knew I needed something wider than that.
I'll see if I can find the source of the 91" and post it.

Yep one could steal second base by sliding beneath a 4x20 series.
