How would I find tow capacity for an older truck?

A glove box I wish I had one or a metal tag, It was a uniform truck and I still can't understand why it is so heavy built ? I will look all over today and report back with my finds

I don't know if there's any way you can get that vehicles information into Kelly Blue Book or Edmunds, but if there's some way, both give you an option on the right side to review specifications for your model... it matched up with what was in my owners manual... a longshot, but... contacting one of those places might get you started in the right direction... they gather tons of data.
