I just got a YM276D, and I love it so far (except for no power steering ).

We just got a big dump of snow and so I'll be testing out the tractor with a rear snow blade. I also bought a log splitter that has it's own PTO driven hydraulic pump. What I want to do is run the ram off the hyd of the tractor... Take a look at some pics, maybe someone can help me out on how it needs to be setup...Imma keep this one regular size so you can see it properly... So these are the loader controls, and there seems to be a quick connect T off of the loader supply, can I just run a quick connect from that female supply out to the reservoir of the splitter ? Where do I get the return from?- I tried to rotate the picture, so I'm sorry for your necks!!

Nice rig!! Welcome to the site...I know you'll love your Yanmar.

I just did some hydraulic work on my 2210....got a lot of help over on the hydraulics board. I don't know enough to tell you definitely what to do, but there are some folks here who will. Good luck!!!!!

I bought a 276D with a factory loader (I think), ROPS & no power steering. I've been really impressed with the amount of work it will do.

I've gotten used to not having it. Inflating the front tires on the hard side helps.

Don't know the gpms on the 276 pump but I'm doubting it will be as much as the pto driven pump. Just guessing, I know my 2002 is only rated at about 6gpm. Does your pto driven pump have any specs on it? I can't tell from your picture just what goes where. I see the tee you are talking about but down lower it looks like another line with a tee on it. Where does that top line teed with the quick disconnect go too.?

I have to ask, if your splitter has a PTO pump, why would you want to remove that and run the splitter off of your tractor's hydraulics? It will most likely slow down your splitter tremendously.


I do agree, you should pose your hydraulics questions in the hydraulis section...... you will get more help there than here.

Your first rule of thumb on your tractor's hydraulic system is to run everything in series. You will not want to put a "T" anywhere on the pressure side of your system. That will net you poor results. The only place you can run a "T" is on the return lines going back to your sump.

That quick connect on your loader valve is interesting. My Yanmar didn't have a pressure relief built into it and dead-heading a hydraulic circuit like that would have either shear the key on the pump, or break the pump. I'm curious what it is there for.

The reason I want to bypass the PTO driven pump on the splitter is because it leaks.

The loader controls on my machine definately aren't stock, it's a joystick control, and my loader is missing the Float position. I tried doing some snow clearing with the bucket last night, and made a pretty good mess When I try to push the joystick up to the float position, the stick is blocked by the top plate.

Anyway, I'll be getting a rear snowblade soon, so that should help alot. Does anyone know where I can source the service manual for this guy? I checked a few tractor shops and they told me "they had calls in"... In this information day and age, one would think I should be able to download it...

Once I figure out what I'm going to do about the splitter, I'll post my questions in the hydraulics seciton...

flip your frt wheels around the correct way, it will help steering.

I didnt know my wheels were on the wrong way? I just got it like this... are these wheels supposed to be bolted on a different way?
