I am very new to this farming business. I own 95 acres in northeast texas that has been in my family since before 1905. The pastures were not worked for over 25 years. So I am trying to get them in shape. The soil is a sandy loam. The place has lots of water. There is a pond of over an acre that was dug by my Dad over a spring. The pond drains into a creek. The pastures are higher and dry out well. My ambition is to at least make the place pay for itself. So I am wide open to learning as much as I can and will welcome any advice I can get
