Come on down and bring some of that white stuff with you. We got that global warming thing going on down here.

Ya, but I bet the mosquitoes are bad.:p

SNOW!!!! What snow??? We should be up to our knees in snow this time of year. Instead we are having daytime temps in the mid 50's and nights in the mid 30's to mid 40's. Its just about too late to hope for much snow now. If we get an equivalent amount of rain - I'll need an ark. Rant,rant,rant-----------

Well it has warmed up to -6F and started to snow again. Just six to eight inches expected. Enough to keep us amused.

My pole barn usually has piles of snow 8' high that slid off the roof by now. Don't think it's more than 2'. But shore is cold....... :)

How much you want? Boston is melting 6,000 tons a day....

I need 5227200 square feet of snow, that will give me 12" here and would last a few days - I think. How fast does snow melt when it's 77˚ and sunny?

Actually here in central Texas with all this sand on this place mosquitoes are not a problem. I maybe get bit twice a year. Along the coast they are a big problem.

Of course around August after many days in the 100˚s I always am considering moving North - then I look at the TBN snow threads to bring me back to reality and crank the AC up a notch and wait for Fall.

Be careful, stay warm, and I hope you all have warm cabs.

Same in the Colorado high country. It never did snow this year. This morning it's 8:00 AM....the sun not yet over the mountain peak to the south.... and the temperature's already above 50.

That's all bound to change some year.... well, maybe....
I keep hearing that what we have is more like global climate change than global warming - but you couldn't prove it by our last decade.

But maybe that's just local. With any luck, we'll learn something about extreme weather from the East Coasters. So far I've learnt that snow blowers are a very good thing - especially if there's no field nearby to store snow. And near as I can tell from the posts, all the makes and models of blowers work similar.
Haven't heard as much about chains or tires though.
We've got front chains, but there hasn't been enough snow in the last decade to use them. More rain than snow.
rScotty.
....btw, the weather was so nice yesterday I puttered around servicing the M59 just to be out in it. Warm enough to make it easy to wipe the extra grease from around the zerks.
