1. Disaster aid is not necessarily money.I personally do not think the Federal Deficit should be increased by borrowing money to provide to States for snow removal. Why is it that the Federal Government is out of control until states start needing money? If anyone borrows the money let the State Borrow it.
2. Having an asset 100 miles away sitting in a warehouse when it could be used to help get people back to work, making money (and paying taxes) is kind of stupid, don't you think? Boston has 645,000 residents and 680,000 jobs. The state of VT has 350,000 jobs.
We live in a federation and while I'm not a big government fan, resource leveling makes a lot of sense. Vtsnowedin bitches about Boston, but didn't ***** about what his own state has done 39 times compared to 32 for NH and 29 for MA. Oh - North Carolina? 43.....
