How's everyone doing with the SNOW

Well, we finally got snow here in Alabama. 10" were we are some northern areas got a foot. Here is a picture of ours: View attachment 414057

Are you using a ruler from a ski area to measure that? Looking at the roof edge it looks like about four inches to me. But you can wait three days and it will be all gone. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Hi Snowedin--------------Oh yes, My wife gave me both barrels....Doesn't matter. I can take it. Besides she was right. If the darn snow had not stuck fast to the roof because it is so darn cold, I would have been able to shake it off from inside... But nope, would not budge. What peeohed me was she said she thought It was because I was too lazy.

I said nada. It would have been a fight. I figgered that a crushed shed was enough trouble for one day.

Fighting with a woman is a fools errand, so I don't. Besides, at my age there aint no "too lazy" And I am disabled.
For therapy I got my tractor out from under and blew the gosh darn driveway AGAIN. This has been a real bearcat of a winter here in the south east of New Brunswick...190 inches of snow (so far)

Being drunk sounds like a good idea to day, Screw the snow..No not the wife, the snow. LOL
Jix:punch:

Oh been there and done that. We're coming up on 38 years in May and have got to the point where we don't have to actually say all the lines to an old argument. She can flash her eyes at me and I can roll mine back at her and we can get all the way to an end of a squabble without actually saying a word.
It would be nice if her being right percentage wasn't so dang high, but meeting her was the luckiest day of my life.

Question: "What do you have planned for the Summer?"
Answer: "Well, if it falls on a weekend, lets have a picnic."

Snowfall totals via the National Weather Service broken down by highest amount in each county across central Alabama:

Blount County
Cleveland/Fowler Spring — 10 inches

Calhoun County
Piedmont — 5 inches

Cherokee County
Cedar Bluff — 8 inches

Cleburne County
Borden Springs — 2.5 inches

Etowah County
Altoona/Hokes Bluff — 8 inches

Fayette County
Glen Allen Fowler's Crossroads — 9 inches

Jefferson County
Kimberly — 4 inches

Lamar County
Sulligent — 11 inches

Marion County

We live in Guin but up the hill so I guess some of our snow blew down the hill.

;) Hey not a problem. I know it settles after it falls and gets "Officially measured" That was at one time part of my job. I'm sure it is quite enough for you who might not even own a snow shovel. I don't actually have a large amount of snow on the ground for the time of year but it seems like more then enough.

Exactly!! Summer usually is the 3rd Tuesday in July around here.

You forgot that it is from two to five in the afternoon to allow for the evening chill. Good reason to have a nice bonfire after dark when your setting off the bottle rockets. ;)

You are correct...don't own a snow shovel, had to use our manure shovels on the walkways but used the tractor FEL in float to do the driveway.

It has been sunny for the past week here so the sun has hit the ground everyday. It hasn't been all that warm, bitter in some cases actually. The heaves are starting to show themselves, not looking forward to this part of the season :(
