What gear tractors will go as low as 1/4 mph?
I had a Massey Ferguson 1250 and I now have a MF 1440, both with 16 speed shuttles that are rated that slow. I haven't looked at the gears on the new 1500 series to see if they go that low or not. I know that there is a very few 1400s still on lots that can be had for very good prices. A member here on TBN just bought one this week.

Seems like the chinese scut have a creeper as well.

I can also think of antique tractors that have aux trencher transmissions giving them fractional movement speed with still having 540 pto speed... etc..

Hmmm ... the MF 1433 looks interesting. I'll have to get educated on MFs as I don't know anything about them. Thanks for the info JerryG & Soundguy ... now you can go back to the great HST vs Gear debate and please excuse the off topic intrusion. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey Yoopergonnabe -- when do you move up there? Are you going to join the revolution to secede from the rest of the state? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For about a year (a while ago), one of our Cleveland weather segments showed the UP as being part of Minnesota or Wisconsin (can't remember which) not Michigan, so apparently the rebels are having some impact somewhere.

1/4 MPH? Hmmm, I used to run a Unimog that topped out at 70 meters an hour in the lowest of its 45 forward speeds. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

But on to useful information. Check Kiotis. They used to have a creeper gear option. I think it was about $400 when I was looking at a DK35.

NHs with the 16/16 trans, and the Kioti DK45S 12/12 for two examples. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We're moving to the U.P. in about a year primarily for the free Canadian healtcare available there ... the U.P. is a part of Canada now isn't it? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Thanks for the additional brands that have a creeper speed /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I wish you the best of luck with the "Free Canada Health Care System". I have seen too many articles, and TV news programs about that system. I remember the TV news program about the feller who basicly was deemed too old to be treated there, sold his house, came to America with his life savings, and was cured of cancer. Now it's your turn to tell me about what a great system it is.

Sorry IH3444. That was a poor attempt at humor on my part. As far as I know the U.P. is still a part of Michigan (even if Ohio thinks it's a part of Minn or Wisc). Even though only "da big lake" (Superior) will separate us from Canada I'm pretty sure Canada does not offer it's health care system to a person who lives in the U.P. I really have no knowledge whatsoever about the Canadian healthcare system other than it's free but they have to pay huge income taxes (like 40% or something). /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Sorry,
