I Like The Sound of A Whining Hydro... I Think it's a pretty cool sound to me...

On my old New Holland TC33D it whined horribly in the winter. I switched to Amsoil and it went totally away. It sold me on synthetic oil. My dealer didn't believe me and came up to hear it. Maybe that is why he is my ex dealer:)

When the time comes for my 3720 to be changed and new filters I will going to Amsoil hydro fluid.

"Seems to me that J20C Hy-Gard would be preferred down here. Comments, suggestions??"

I'm in Missouri and have decided to go with the regular hy-gard in the 2520. I'm thinking thicker must be better, particularly since most of my hours are put on in above-freezing temps. The 2520 manual says OK to use either one.

Say, could I please have some cheese to go with my hydro whine?

At my dealer today to swap out a couple of gallons of Hy-Gard (J20C) for the decaff, Lo-Vis Hy-Gard (J20D).

Sales guy asked me if I used Lo-Vis year around and the mechanic overhead the conversation and said that in AK it's best to use the Lo-Vis 'cause we never get real warm, humid conditions at all.

If your manual says that either/or may be used and you live in an area that is above freezing for most all the year and during the warmest time; WAAYY above freezing -- the caffinated stuff is the way to go.
