For those who read my post on my L48 subframe here is an email I sent to kubota corporate. They sent it back to my Regional Sales Manager, the one who makes the 1000.00 offer, just a coincidence the cash rebate was 1000.00. The email is too large to put in this post so you have to read it in two...
Kubota L48 TLB Serial #
The beginning of last May I contacted my salesman (Neil Follett at Goodrich Implement in Johnson City, NY) and sent him pictures of my subframe which had filled with water over the winter and hydro-formed splitting the top of the frame open. The frame has no rust or damage and no way for water to enter the frame. He advised me he was sending the pics to his Rep and not to use the tractor for any heavy work. Neil contacted me to let me know engineers at Kubota were going to look at the pics for advisement. I stayed in contact with Neil who would contact the Rep (Chuck) for progress reports. Weeks went by and I received a phone call from Chuck after I asked Neil to have him call me and he advised the same, don稚 work the tractor until he hears from Kubota. FOUR MONTHS go by of the same, I kept checking in with Neil who would contact Chuck and no results. Finally I speak with both Neil and Chuck who both state the frame has to be replaced and because the tractor is 5 ス years old there is nothing Kubota will do for me. I expressed my concerns to Chuck that there was no way I could have caused this damage, after inspection of the sub frame there is not so much as even a pin hole in it. He extended himself and got $850.00 toward a new sub frame, a sub frame costs $2500.00. I ordered the new sub frame on August 28th. It came in on Sept. 13th and I picked it up at closing time. When I got it home (I知 almost an hour away from Goodrich) I could see clearly it was the wrong frame. The part # on the crate was correct, the frame belongs to a B model. Neil ordered the frame again and I was told it will be about a week. Week goes by and I call parts at Goodrich (Walt) and he makes a phone call. He痴 told a new delivery date of one more week. That week goes by and I call Walt who calls Kubota and the delivery date is extended again by two weeks. Long story short, it finally arrives on Nov. 7th. Six months on the homestead without my tractor. Granted there is no loss of income, It is totally for personal use on my own property but now we are buried in over two feet of the white stuff so the fields never got bush hogged, the orchards didn稚 get maintained, the drainage ditches are almost full. I had to rent a tractor to get our firewood supply since we heat totally with wood. On top of all that, the hydraulic pump started failing at only 800 hrs. to a tune of $849.48, would have been Nine hundred something but Neil felt bad for me and gave me a discount. After installing the new sub frame I was moving the old frame and I picked it up with my B2620. I noticed drops coming from the welds as the frame was stood up and could see water coming from the welds, even on the good side that wasn稚 hydro-formed. The weld looks perfect, the paint looks perfect, and water is pushing through it. I took it to Homer Iron works which is our local experts to have anything welded. They advised me it is 澱ad welds? I wanted a second opinion so I took it to Essex Steel who manufacture Steel buildings. They also advise 澱ad welds? I took pics of them and sent them to Neil who I知 sure sent them to Chuck and obviously it went nowhere. I again had Neil have Chuck call me and he advised he was going to try and get me some money towards a new tractor since I had expressed interest in either a L6060 with cab or M7060 with cab and he would have the Sales Rep call me. This was quite a bit before your Kubota Conference in Tennessee. Numerous times I have called Neil to have Chuck call me and have not received anything. It has been the same with the sales Rep, Neil has both called and emailed both Chuck and the sales Rep and nothing. Yesterday, Neil sent me an email stating he had called the Rep directly and the Sales Rep is offering $1000.00 toward an L or M series tractor.
