Remember that the wind is only a part of the storm. Fear the rising water more!

All those in the forecasted path, please heed the warnings to get out. Even if the wind intensity drops to Cat 3 at landfall, it's still pushing Cat 5 water!

What Topzide said. Worst hit for me has been Ian since I was flooded across whole property. Wind wasn't too bad here, but I lost 2 cars, a garden tractor, & had to redo electrical on the LS, CAT & Kubota.

I noticed the surge map only goes to "over 9ft" but one prediction was "up to 20ft."

Wife's cousin lives at Port Charlotte. They are adamant on staying. They are on a canal also.

I can understand someone wanting to stay but this girl churning out in the gulf is 1 big, mean b!tch. This one is different than most hurricanes.

Hell i see a cat 5 heading east I'm outta there

I have freinds who live in Hudson, FL north of Tampa. 12 months ago Hurricane Idalia hit them hard and put 3' of water through their house, AWFUL! My buddy spent 11 month totally redoing their house, it looked gorgeous! 2 months ago they moved back in with their 2 small children. Well then along comes Helene to put 5 FEET of water into their newly redone house. ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING!! Now here comes Milton, I fear the worst.
I couldn't do it!!
