We live in North East Florida and we hope we are ready with a good generator and fuel and supplies and a strong building

One is never completely ready for a hurricane.

I have a MIL living on the coast who always believes it won't hit her... and thus is reluctant to evacuate in time... and we saw how evacuation goes when Houston was evacuated 2 years ago... for Rita I think.

I've got generator. Need to get more gas. Tractor is filled. Problem in Central Texas is mostly flood risk... some wind damage... power outage. Home is on hill... if we flood, it's going to be a REALLY bad deal.

Hmm... guess I could get the chain saw out and make sure it's running and I have plenty of gas mix for it, and bar oil...

Have propane, so can continue cooking.

I kind of keep my eye on it but never did see a reasion to get ready for it. My Gen set runs and it never even looked like it was comming this way so I did not get "extra" fuel
