Can't speak to Tazwell, but the situation in many areas of the TN/NC border area is roads and communications are washed out and news reporting about actual conditions is still spotty because of the limited access into these areas.

I have read that the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) called this a 1/5000 year rain event. Absolutely devastating!!

This story says not too much flooding in Tazewell county, but lot's of wind damage. "It's everywhere"

Tazewell County leaders and residents are continuing to deal with the aftermath of last Friday’s storm.

Cleetus McFarland and his wife were up there last weekend thrashing his newly restored helicopter ferrying supplies and people. The ariel shots he got going to makeshift landing zones shows some of the devastation in incredible detail. The bravery of some 30-40 pilots volunteering their time and helicopters even before the government showed up is a testament to the good people can do for a common cause. The incredible dangers of trees and power lines didn't stop these pilots from delivering needed supplies and help where it was needed. Before the GoFundMe accounts were set up, pilots and the airport were paying for the fuel out of their own pockets.

Talked to Power Trac today they had little damage to their operations. She said they should be back to full operation today. Thay have been out the last several days helping their employees that were affected by the storm and also helping others in the area that had damage. Most of the damage was downed trees and loss of power not too much flooding
